Your flowers will be thirsty when you first receive them. First step to take is to trim approx. 3cm from the stems at a 45 degree angle and place them into a vase with about 1 litre of clean (slightly luke warm) water with the flower food. They will perk up after 24 hours after they are hydrated and re-energised! Please follow our care guide to ensure you enjoy your bouquet for as long as possible! https://www.bloommagicflowers.ie/flower-care
If you notice that the flowers are drooping within a couple of days of delivery, it is likely that they are not drinking enough. Stems should be trimmed every 2 days, at a 45 degree angle, and the water in the vase should be changed every 2 days also (warm water often works best). A handy tip to help revive drooping flowers, along with trimming stems and replacing the water, would be to add 1/4 of a teaspoon of bleach to the vase of water, along with half a teaspoon of sugar. The bleach helps the flowers stay fresh for longer, while the sugar acts as additional flower food which may help revive the droopy blooms!
On delivery, you may notice some tougher, slightly browned petals around the outside of your roses or other flowers. Rest assured, the flowers are fresh! These are called 'storm petals' which we intentionally leave on to protect the delicate inner flower when in transit. To reveal the fresh inner petals, gently remove the 3/4 storm petals by pulling them at the base.
